+1 yThese people that are presuming to micromanage and dictate your life for you, who are they too you? What entitled them too tell you what too do and how too live your life?
Have they given you advice in the past that never failed to keep you safe and out of trouble? If so, than I recommend cutting whatever apron strings or metaphorical umbilical cords that connects you to these people, and try living life on your own, by your own terms, and do what you believe will make you happy, because unless these people are living with you, and unless they are the ones that have to deal with the consequences for your actions, and I don't think that's the case if you're an adult, then they really don't have any business telling you anything about what to do with your life.
What is it to them if you do this thing that will make them so happy, cuz you say they want you to do this thing and you're not sure what too do, so they want you to do this thing, how does it affect them, and if it's because they're just well meaning and they want the best for you, than the only people that can really make that happen is you and your husband, not them. So what does he have to say about this what are his feelings on it and for it matter where you're feelings about it because that's really what it should come down to you and him talking us over and trying to figure out if it's the right move for you why it's the right move for you and how to go about making it happen since you and him are the ones that are going to have to make this happen if it does happen and you're the ones that are going to have to live with the circumstances that result from it, whether good or bad.
It's like the old saying "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." and it sounds like you're undecided about whether or not to let the good intentions of other people land you in hell or not. 👿😇💫02 Reply- +1 y
I think you posted this under the wrong question fam lmao

Highly unlikely. And it's not race, but more often than not cultural. And I apply it even within whites, as there are groups of white people who I find unattractive, more by their culture than skin color.
And I can spot the former tribes in white from a distance, after knowing what I am looking at. And some of it boils down to DNA traits of the person. I tend to clash with Siciallians. Lower Italian and Northwesten fine, especially the Tuscan types, that cluster with Hungarians and Austrians. The borders were not there thousands of years ago like they are today.
I also tend not like Northern Germans, or any of the Nordic types. I see a lot of people mixed with that where I am from with Italian. I totally avoid any of the Eastern Slavic and or Russian as well, that I call crazy eyes. Ironically the Spanish and upper Northern African descent which is more Egyptian-like are okay. Pretty much the old Roman republic areas are cool except where other tribes came into around Sicilay.
And you say how specific? It's how they move, talk, react and are. The DNA is reflective of how a person operates. And from there are conditioned to the norms of that society. Most people still believe people are blank slates when born. The conditioning will place quite a facade, but like robots, the inner wiring is what really counts.
And with that, there are people who have interbred generarions ago, that might look like another race, but share some traits of another group, being that some could express a former recessive gene of that former lost tribe so to speak in any region on the planet. In the rare case you can pick up on that, cool. But they are rare, except probably being turbocharged with the melting pot of the Americas that include Canada and the more liberal parts of Europe.00 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 ySure, I'm all for interracial with really no constraint. I can't see why anyone would be against that, except for people who are actually racist (actually racist, like, actually thinking that someone is genetically inferior and despisable), but what I'm less open about is intercultural relationships when the two cultures are too distant from each other because a lot of what constitutes a culture also defines religion intensity, gender roles, conception of family etc. This difference can even happen in a western context of people of the same ethnic group, no need to fish someone from a poorer country, just think about someone who is grown in a very radicalized Christian closed community and is still there, while you're an atheist. It would be already sufficient for me to say that a couple like that will not work because of too wide cultural gap and both are born and raised with a set of values that won't just fly away "because of love".

They are intercultural relationships.
Not all black people are the same.
I like men tbh so if I meet someone that I like and they like me they're treating me right as I'm treating them right.

+1 yI've dated every single race out there except for indians (dot). I dont find race important for the most part although not irrelevant. I do not like people who are racially obsessed unless its with their own race, thats a mental issue in my opinion. Ie your Asian but only date whites, seems weird to me or black but only date whites etc. That just seems really weird and offputting even if it gives me access to you i dont want that. Usually i find it means the person relies heavily on Stereotypes and has issues with judging individuals OR they are weak and following a social pressure so they can't stand up for themselves OR its an attention getting device, they just love the attention because its something that stands out to people... all fucked up reasons why i wouldn't want to date them.
00 Reply 860 opinions shared on Relationships topic. As long as there is mutual physical attraction, sexual compatibility, and no glaring personality conflicts, it's fine. I suppose race can affect physical attraction if, for example, she "isn't into white guys" or whatever. And perhaps culture can induce personality conflicts but if a girl is willing to date other races that risk is minimized to me, anyway. Sexual compatibility is likely unaffected.

+1 yThe whole concept is ridiculous. The biggest thing me and my fiancée have to navigate is culture. How does race even enter into people’s thinking? I mean there are a lot of folks here at GaG who actually think that interracial relationships isn’t about cultural differences.
I mean this is 2021, if you don’t know now you never will.00 Reply
+1 yI have been in them in the past and currently in one. Going into interracial relationships the partners should do their best to learn the culture and history of the race of their partners. I never been discouraged by any race from my personal experience

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI am not exactly in an interracial relationship, as my partner and I are both technically white. But my Parents are originally from the middle east and he is standard white European. We look quite different. With him having blonde hair, pale skin and green eyes and me having olive skin and brown hair.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yAlmost all of mine have. I live in an area that is a major melting pot, so maybe that's why?
I'm half-white/half-Asian (the product of an interracial relationship!) and some of my most serious relationships include a black guy, a Lebanese guy, and my boyfriend now is Mexican.00 ReplyI grew up never thinking about race so I don't really care. But they do confuse me because I can honestly say that I have never been attracted to someone who is not of my race.
