Dying is never a pleasent idea. Dying via violence is always a bad way to go. It's terrible if death was due to violence from a stranger but when death occurs at the hands of someone who a person trust is worst. I can't say anything about this particular case. That's not for me to say. Let the law, jury and a judge figure this out. But as far as the question itself... Being attacked or hurt from someone you trust and love is indeed terrible. I was attacked by a family member when I was a child. Before passing out or blacking and going through an outter body experience the last thing I recalled seeing was the eyes who was supposed to glaze at me with love but they were glaring at me with rage and hatred. I'll never forget the evil I saw in that stare. It haunts me to this day. I remember asking what did I do to make them hate me so much. If I had died that day I can say that is indeed the worst thought to die to.
This is why abused woman have to leave as soon as red flags appear, she risked her life by waiting until they returned home to end the relationship and she never made it home, the right choice would have been to sleep in a homeless shelter or police station until a friend or family bought her a plane ticket home instead of going back with him for practicality’s sake.
This goes back to a point I've always tried to make. As sad as it is, there is an element of responsibility on her as well for picking to be with a psycho. And yes you can argue she had no idea but these things never just happen, there are signs and red flags and she chose to ignore them. So yeah she kinda made her bed when she associated with someone like that and the result was unsurprisingly horrible.
I am almost certain that this girl knew at least one guy in her life that genuinely loved her and cared for her but couldn't make a move since was taken and never even noticed him to begin with.
The reason I'm saying that is just to point out how often girls go for the wrong guy because they somehow feel exhilarated by him and while they do know he is bad they stay and and get mistreated or in this case even worse.
Why don't we wait for the investigation to be concluded before we pronounce this guy guilty. I'm not saying he isn't the guy - I'm saying that NO ONE but he knows for sure right now. It's one thing to speculate out loud, and another to just declare that he did it when even the investigators don't know that yet.
Yes, he is. But, let's be crazy and say that she got mad and stormed off, and someone else killed her. Or let's say she committed suicide (we don't know the details of where her body was found or the condition it was in, yet). He's going to be the prime suspect in a murder investigation anyway, and saying anything can be used against him, even if he's actually innocent.
Now, I'd say there's about an 85% chance that he's the perp. I'm not ignorant of how these things often go. But 85% isn't 100%, and this is a murder charge we're talking about. We need to get it RIGHT before we convict someone for 30+ years (or worse).
How do you know he killed her? Just because everybody saying he killed isn´t a prove. The media keeps the story running because that way they can make money out of it. There are ways she could have died in a national park. For example there are bears in Grand Teton and every now and then people are attacked by them and probably killed if you don´t the right weapon. I think though he probably did it out of anger and has killed himself as well because the emotional burden is to heavy to carry.
I really haven't been following this story, but there is no evidence this guy killed Gabby Petito yet. I really dislike social media "Guilty until proven innocent" sentiments. Now, it's probably more likely he did it than not, but for all we know, he's also now dead too. We should really stop assuming people are automatically guilty. ESPECIALLY after the BS last year with Derek Chauvin, who actually WASN'T guilty, but the public sentiment and peer pressure actually swayed the jury.

Its all circumstancial evidence, No one knows what happened except for him.. If the evidence point to you even though even though you are innocent what choice do you have?

Yes, it is a horrible way to die, if they were having differences and arguing just leave her be but get her to safety, this makes me sad that there are so many Males in this world who need mental health treatment but refuse to get it or they refuse to take medication and the autopsy remains are of Gabby's but it will take some time to find out how she died
I have no idea about her story or what happened to her, but death from domestic abuse is a lot more common than you think. In Australia a woman dies each week at the hands of thier partner, there are many many more who get terribly abused but didn't die. It might even be higher in your country depending on where you live. Usually for it to get to that point the person has spent a long time controlling and manipulating her, victims probably undergo many years of abuse. It's quite heartbreaking.
The #ers anywhere of women who die from abuse is too high and keeps getting worse. It’s a world problem just like child/adult sex trafficking. It needs to be talked about everywhere and brought up so more women know the signs and can hopefully get the help they need before it’s too late.
Yeah I completely agree! I avoided using the global statistics because people tend to think it's a problem elsewhere in the world and not where they live, but it really does happen way too often everywhere. The news only reports on one out of the hundreds of cases each year, and yet everyone gets shocked by it.
My heart is utterly destroyed by the fact that so many women pick such horrible boyfriends. I mean how many guys who work and are responsible and dependable ever get picked for anything? Much less to be a boyfriend? This episode has sent me spiraling in to a pretty hopeless deep depression.
Yeah I agree. Getting killed by someone you you thought it was the one for you. After a while your mind and heart can't take it anymore and then you commit suicide because your heart can't take being broken anymore.

It's not a good sign that he's on the run, but he's still innocent until -- he's not. Sure "looks" like he's guilty. He won't survive on the run very long.
He is innocent until proven guilty but his behavior shouts out "GUILTY!" in my opinion. It would be interesting to see the autopsy report on the actual cause of death. Strangulation would be my guess.

Yes too bad and too bad about the millions who were murdered by the Japanese and the hundreds of thousands of troops that would have been killed trying to take the Jaapanese homeland defended by the people and children who were armed with spears and broom and a few guns to defend the emperor god. Well I just watched a video which said that the girls family made a statement to the press trying to tell people like you that he isn't missing he is hiding and he has good reason to be in hiding, you exist.
@Daniela1982 Every opinion is speculation, No one knows what happened, For all we know there could have been somebody else.. They didn't exactly to go a hotel, They went to the wilderness. Maybe there was someone else that beat her up and instead of doing something about it he ran, who knows.
He looks guilty because he came back and she didn't and he does not want to cooperate with the police also because he knows that they will look at circumtancial evidence rather than his Words.
So you said maybe it was self defense right. Let's just say you went out to the wilderness with your boyfriend. He tried doing something to you and in self defense you push him and he falls down a cliff and dies. There is enough circumstancial evidence there to assume that you killed him even though you are innocent. What option do you have other than to run when no one believes you.
@Daniela1982 You saw that prior to the disappearance they had a interaction with the law. She was at fault and there was to be a no contact order placed.
So either two things happened she acted out and one thing led to another and she died and he ran for safety knowing he would be tracked.
2) A motorist may have heard the commotion while they were with police and thought it be a perfect crime out in the desert and knowing the boyfriend would be the prime suspect.
Or 3) nothing happened and she ran away - unsure if body was recovered or not.
@vigors Because she was a YouTuber and had a strong social media presence, so people can go look her up for themselves and connect with her more post-mortem. They were also going cross country on tour, which brings up the whole "fugitive on the run" angle with the boyfriend. A lot of SCUMMY, really shitty people are trying to say she's getting all this attention because she's a "rich pretty white girl." But she's not all that pretty and she's not rich, so these people are way off with that. And for the record, I know nothing about this girl and not really into the story, but a YouTuber or big social media star dying gets a lot more attention than those without that.
