I'm nurturing but I don't treat my wife like a helpless child who can't even blow her own nose. LOL
If she is in bed with the flu or something (which is extremely rare), I'll bring her whatever she needs - a pill, a glass of water, juice or ginger ale. I'll bring her soup, a cold towel for her head, a bucket to barf in. I'm there for her. I sleep in the same bed, too. She does the same for me.
When it comes to other things, I'm there to comfort her when she's sad. I like to hear about her day and what she's involved in. For example, she has become quite an activist in opposing covid measures and we're on the same page. We share information and opinions on various subjects with each other.
I support her creative endeavors like photography, gardening and home improvement. I'm supportive of anything she wants to do, including educational seminars; occasional spiritual seminars; and health choices like yoga, acupuncture, chiropractic, and holistic medicine.
No matter what in life I try to pay attention to everything even if it looks like I'm not paying attention I am and if I'm in a relationship with somebody and I can see or feel that something is not right I will ask about it or I will pay a little bit more attention and I will figure it out. So if I am in a relationship she is my best friend I don't want her to hurt I don't want her to feel down in any way so I will do whatever it takes to build her back up
Yes! I am definitely the listener of the relationship. If they have a bad day, I'm the one listening and comforting. Sick? I'm on it lol. I really don't mind it. It is honestly my way of showing my appreciation and love for them.
If I care about somebody or like and respect them, I will try to be nice to them and make them happy, but there are limits to my kindness because I’m only human.
Umm I'm not sure I know how to be in a relationship. I don't baby my men simply because they take the piss. If a man has something wrong I try and deal with it if I can help. But I've never encountered serious issues or times where a guy needed to be babies. My ex was really ill once he called me up and I tried not to panic, I called a cab and took him to the closest hospital. I don't know what was wrong. Virus like flu. I went to the shops bought a few cans of tomato soup, bread and cheese.
He didn't want me to stay, so I left.
Later he called saying he felt better. Said his boy bought him chicken and chips. That soup shit weren't gonna do nothing.
As you can tell I'm hurt. He used every opportunity to tell me I was rubbish.

I am overwhelmingly nurturing, but I also feel heavily deprived when I'm not nurtured. If we are both not giving 100% in our attempts to make each other feel loved and cared for, then I just feel either guilty or unloved.

I deal with sadness by being alone so I will play it by ear to see how you prefer. My current girlfriend prefers to talk about it and be comforted. Everyone knows fairly early on that being sick around me could literally kill me. It's pretty much a certainty my girlfriend doesn't have COVID-19, but she still can't come over until she has been tested, and that has to be 4 days after being quarantined. And she has to take the test that takes several days to get results. As a 35 year old I expect her to be able to do those things herself
I like to think so. If someone I love is having a bad days I might try make joke to make then laugh or smile be good listener and let them vent. I might take them out somewhere fun to make them forget there bad day.
Yes I always wanna be there to comfort and take care of my Love. I wanna cuddle up with him if he's having a bad day and give him soup and take a hot shower or bath when he's not well. ❤

I am bad day, yep same thing, I'll listen, cuddle up, massage, etc the sick thing, you're not gonna leave that bed, I'll keep you hostage, if I see you doing something your're not supposed to do, you're getting back into bed, I won't take No for an answer. Tears... I would probably just hug, unless he's one of those 'single tear people'
The opposite also, if you're going to start slacking for some reason you feel like just staying in bed all day, do nothing, not even eat, you're getting kicked out of bed

It's a lot harder (if you're this sort of person) to make sure that you take enough time for yourself, because it plays against your instincts. And the right kind of toxic person can easily take advantage of you by making you feel like shit if you need to look after yourself for awhile - they will make it seem like you are neglecting them.

I think you both need to nurture each other a little. When the other is sick you should help. When the other is upset over something you should do what you can to help but it needs to be both ways to work

Put it this way. It's become a recent fetish of my imagination to daydream about a perfect world or perfect partner: a nurse. You know. I work part time she works 12 hour shifts. This all being imaginary what the hell I'm often home long before Her, I cook I clean and when she comes home and she doesn't want to talk or hardly at all, I give her a foot rub or a cuddle before or after a feed, and she can just softly vent to me until ironically it's time for bed for another working day for us both. See there's balance there. I'm no doormat. And she's no drill-sergeant. And likewise I work part time she works full time. See the balance. And I know how to do chores and thrive on it. Phew. Lol i would prefer we both work no more than 10 hour shifts so that we have time to come home and play with the kids. I prefer we both do the chores. He can cook, i can do the laundry. No one gets to sit back
P. S. it works for me my scenarios as I don't believe in having kids. Same with my future wife girlfriend or even imaginary. No offspring. Just me and her. 😃
I mostly cook dinner and I take care of her when she’s sick (I have a strong immune system and don’t really get sick so it’s not a big deal) but those are the two things that first come to mind
