I am too shy around my boyfriend, how do I stop being so shy??

I'm shy but only around my boyfriend. I'm not shy around all guys just him. like when I'm with my guy friends I'm just my normal self I'm funny and crazy and kinda hypo and just really fun and we play fight and joke around and we talk about the craziest random things and sometimes kinda weird gross things and I'm just me and let loose and do whatever but them when I'm around my boyfriend I'm just so shy and we just talk and not much I don't know why I'm so shy around him and it doesn't go much further than talking and I would like it to go further ;) please help how do I stop being shy?, what do I do? I hate being so shy around him how do I stop being so shy?

Try to act like he's just another guy friend, because he is. Since he's your boyfriend, he has to have good feelings toward you. Therefore, why is there any reason to hide your true personality. IT would be an effort for both of you as I see it BUT you should put more on it. It feels good to be yourself every time especially to people you love the most. No pretentions. And this I know you know because you feel good whenever you are at your craziest and weirdest self with friends.

Release yourself slowly with this shyness. I was once shy with my boyfriend too before but whenever I want to be myself I just say it out loud to him "Argh! I'm so shy when I'm with you!" or whenever we talk on the phone, but he just made me comfortable and he did his part by sharing things we love to do and let me talk :)

Now we can tease each other and laugh each others' mistakes too. I'm not shy anymore. I feel great to be on my own self when I'm with him - he is now my husband :)

When there is a chance, talk to him even in few words.

If you remember something funny, or an event in your life or something in your mind at that moment, try to release it and share it to him.

If you want to get rid of this shyness then make a little effort. Yyou should do it slowly, you can do it over time and with practice ;)

Ohmygosh you two are married now? Wow, that's so beautiful - you two must be one of the luckiest couples in the world, having such a successful relationship and all!

I kinda have the same problem as the asker, but it's a little different...the thing is, my bf's shy, too. We're both very social, bubbly, fun, and enthusiastic people - around our FRIENDS. but with each other, it's like a total awkward silence! The only time we're able to talk to each other is if a friend joins in the convo!

You have to stop caring about what he thinks of you. Be yourself even if he judges you

Admit to your boyfriend that you're nervous. You really like him but you're worried of saying something bad that'll turn him away. You have this fear that you need to overcome. You're confident and free around your other friends, but when you're with him, you're a worried mess.

You really want this relationship to work, but you just need time to build more comfort with him.

If your boyfriend is an @ssh0le, he'll laugh at you and say "Yeah, you better work on that".

If your boyfriend is a good guy, he'll definitely understand, smile at you, and say it's not a problem.

Build comfort by bringing subjects up. Emotions, love, fantasies, beliefs. Listen to each other. Talk about your past, your mistakes, what you want to do. Connect on an emotional level. Feel comfortable by accepting each other for who you are. Accept each others' flaws, and love each other for their positive traits. And don't be afraid to talk about something important when it needs to be adressed.
