Generally.. stretch. It’s possible either or gender can improve the other. Be from a good experience, or bad. We learn from everything we do every day. Even our own stupid or thoughtless choices. Anything can be taken as a positive to improve ourselves, or a negative just because someone is stuck in defensive.
