347 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I had an ex like that. It destroyed me. I developed anxiety and got panic attacks. Had to go into trauma therapy because I was walking on eggshells for too long afraid of making him mad at me and ignoring me.
I would say, once he stops ignoring, talk to him and get into couple's therapy. He is either doing this to punish you or he can't deal with his own feelings and therefore can't communicate them to you. First one is very toxic and he might has to figure out why he wants to punish you so badly, other one is more for him to get through trauma he probably has and learning how to communicate emotions. This is for the therapist to find out though.
Don't sleep on this behaviour though! It can destroy you. If he doesn't want to collaborate on solving this issue like going to therapy, consider leaving him. You can't live like this and deserve better.10 Reply

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yLMAO I love know everyone is a professional at what is going on and what she should do. She never even told us why he isn't speaking. She told us NOTHING! Most of you gave advice on how to get revenge... I have my opinion of what you should have done but it won't help with this problem now. I don't have many good examples of good marriages around me but I do know they work due to habits. When you are both naturally the type of people that don't ruin relationships. If he isn't talking to you then that reveals something about his habitual thinking and that thinking is not good for your marriage. Want marriage to last? Be the type of people that don't ruin your marriage. You have to brainstorm how all the characteristics and habits that that person has and then practice those. Practice hold handing situations a certain way so it becomes habit. Can't go into marriage blindly with no vision. Same with life. As for your issue no one on here can help you. We don't even know what is going on.

For some reason he was teasing you or being passive aggressive. And you lost it. Sounds like this has been coming for some time.
If you really can't stand it, you'll need to reach out the olive branch. Even though it sounds like you gave as good as you got.02 Reply
Asker+1 yPardon, What do you mean by reaching out the olive branch?
Opinion Owner+1 yTrying to make peace with him
You could always, you know, talk to him and ask him what’s up. If he flat out won’t talk then he’s being a man-child and maybe you could stay with friends for a couple days while he grows up a bit. If it continues then perhaps counseling is in order (though it sounds like it already is in order).

+1 yGeez, that is a long time to give the cold shoulder. Maybe time to say "Hey, listen. We need to sit down and talk about (whatever it is that happened)".
If he can't do that, you have some real issues to sort.36 Reply
Asker+1 yAlready tried. He is not agreeing. Basically not responding to anything I say

Wow. Can you reach out to someone to help? Family or friends. This seems extreme.

He knows she want to talk, trying a new way to open a conversation isn't a good solution.
Just like all behavior, he is doing it because it fills a need. The answer to get him to stop this or any behavior is to stop making it satisfying to practice the target behavior.

But right now he is training her, not her training him.

Lol if that's the solution then I wonder how many divorces you have had or would have file in future for every non responsive person whose anger may be justified on your actions.

10 Reply1.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Well you need to tell him to grow up and ask him what the hell's going on that's ridiculous asking if you did something wrong happy if he just lost his voice asking if he lost his eyes you can't see me no more what is the Dill he has to have a reason any should let you know about it no matter what it is that would be pretty hard not talking to anybody why do you think that he is doing it

+1 yMy husband likes to pull that and sometimes without explanation or even an argument. Over time, I made the decision to be joyful with or without his participation and sometimes I even welcome the silence.
All you can do is change your mindset. You can't fix his childish behavior.00 Reply
+1 yIt depends. If he’s done this before then he really has a problem with handling conflict. If he’s never done this before then you need to confront him about what’s wrong.
Asker+1 yHe has done it before
I'd just give it to him right back. Drive him crazy by getting ready and randomly leaving only to hang out with friends of course. He'll want to know your wearabouts right away and have to address you once it eats at him long enough.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI had 2 exes like that. Both didn't changed neither agreed they're wrong.
The first used to ghosted for 1 ~ 2 weeks.
The second would do it for 3 days or 4 but then did it 2 times with more than 1 month of ghosting.
You should rethink seriously this relationship.
It's abusive.
It destroyed a lot of my confidence and self-esteem12 Reply
Opinion Owner+1 yBut now, I think you should talk to him seriously. You didn't nothing wrong actually, is he that didn't respect you. Set your boundaries and stay firm to them.
You're not kids anymore, it's just immature and unhealthy- +1 y
He is wrong. You did nothing bad by wanting excuses. He is acting egoist and at your bday? So weird
+1 ythis is a very immature and passive aggressive attitude. regardless if you had a fight or a disagreement this isn’t the way to deal with it. I’d suggest doing the same don’t talk to him either and do not attempt to talk to him. do your life as if he wasn’t there. when he decides to finally talk you both should have a serious conversation and make sure this won’t happen again in the future.
00 ReplyAct as if you’re single. This means more time alone to do your own activities.

I agree with this. If someone is ignoring me, I can just ignore them back and move on with life; my life and happiness isn't dependent on attention from someone else.
Anonymous(36-45)+1 ySounds like he's stonewalling you. Stonewalling is very bad for a relationship. If he can't communicate like an adult, even when he's upset, it will be very difficult to ever overcome any challenges and will leave you feeling sad and neglected. You can try to explain this to him, and maybe even look up stonewalling so he understands that it's a real thing. You can try to suggest couple's counseling. But in my experience, people like this are not very receptive to changing their ways.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI like reading the comments from the women. There first option is always... LEAVE... DIVORCE... GO FIND SOMEONE BETTER...
