He was trying to use me for sex… maybe I should’ve added context he got stood up from a meeting he asked me to at his apartment.. I didn’t stand him up for a date or anything in public

Whether you respond or not is completely up to you. I do agree with him to an extent, because in my opinion ghosting is sort of the cowardly/childish way out, or maybe you just don’t care about him enough to offer an explanation and that’s ok too. You don’t owe him anything, but if you want to give him closure then I’m sure he’d appreciate it. I think it’s important to have compassion and you could easily be in his shoes one day, getting blown off without any knowledge as to why. So consider that in your decision making and do what feels right for you. Like I said you don’t owe him anything.
