It’s been 8 months of my boyfriends not having a job?

I’ve been with this guy for 8 months now and he hasn’t had a job the whole time. He’s so sucked in upset his baby momma won’t let him see his kid for selfish reasons. He says he’s looking for a job but I really don’t see the effort. How do I approach him about it that it kinda bugs me he doesn’t have a job and isn’t doing anything with his life right now. Am I stupid for staying with someone who isn’t showing much effort into getting a job? Or at least not much that I can see.

Nope. Bye bye. There's jobs, but he won't work beneath himself. Any job is money to support oneself until the next opportunity. Some are waiting on the next handout. Don't put up with his lame excuses and don't put up with him slacking. Don't see evidence of effort? Yes, you do. No money. That's all you need to see.

Because you’re a woman and want him to be a “provider” even as you say you don’t.

For all you know he’s putting out applications and job hunting, going to interviews, and just chooses not to keep you updated.

Do yourselves both a favor. Break up with him and go after someone with more money. It’d be a win-win for you both.

I am working. I don’t support him at all. He’s living off of savings he has. I just don’t know how to bring it up without him getting upset or even what to say.
