I thought men don’t send long texts and explain their behaviour if they have no interest?

He was on boys trip (I didn’t first know about it) when we chatted last time. It took him 12h-22hours to reply to my texts. They were quite short too unlike his previous message. To me they felt dry compred to previous texts.

I got annoyed and also took long time to repy. I left him on read for 2 days and then replied to him with quite short text because I felt he lost interest.

He then send me 15 line long text explaining that he was on trip where he avoided using his phone and that he wasn’t as focused on his replies as before because of the trip. He also said that I’ve probably must noticed his different responses (which I did).

he didn’t outright said sorry but he did explain his behavior (which I didn’t force him to do).

does him explaining his behavior show that he’s getting attached to me? Im not his girlfriend or anything…. we haven’t gone on a date or anything.

Well I can understand why it took him so long to text back. Like you said you’re his friend, not his wife or even his girlfriend. So for you to expect him to respond immediately like a dog is only setting yourself up for disappointment. Women need to stop expecting men to think and act like they do because we’re not the same. We’re not. As for him getting more attached to you, can’t really say. There isn’t a lot of info to go off of.

Why would he care to send long text explaining why he responded differently. Like I said I’m not his gf…

Maybe because you’re a good friend to him. Out of respect for you. It’s possible he likes you but again not a lot of info to really delve into this as to whether he likes you for sure.

We aren’t friends tho. I started to message him on instagram and we’ve kept chatting with each other after that. We didn’t know each other well at all before that

So then I’m thinking he isn’t really into you in that way. At least right now since you two are still getting to know one another. He may just like you based purely off of looks.
