Why do men hot and cold text if there’re not interested in a relationship? could be days or weeks when I get a text from him?

Well this might explain some things for you. I posted this and it has tons of votes in the poll so a pretty good representation of the issue you are dealing with.

Are most guys not into texting?

Basically guys are just not into texting is what that is saying. Go ahead and read through the opinions and replies. They just don't like to text for the most part. Not all of them but the majority. So this guy sounds like he fits in with most of the rest of them. He just doesn't really care for it and there is no other reason. Given that poll I posted I wouldn't be worried since it is natural for guys.

The important thing is: why are you still wasting time with him when you realize he's being hot and cold with you and doesn't want a relationship?

Typically men do that when they know you're not going anywhere and you allow it. Sounds harsh, but that's the case. He doesn't want you, but he humors you when he's single, bored, or needs some attention- that's why he talks to you when it's convenient for him-

DO BETTER. You said he goes weeks without texting you? Please, that's a red flag in itself. Even if he's "busy" he can stop and say, "I can't talk/text right now, I'll get with you later." That shows he cares. The fact that he doesn't even give you a courtesy text shows he doesn't respect you.

I'd personally delete him from your phone, social media, and all other aspects of your life and treat him like he treats you...
