Can a guy be genuinely interested but not into texting me?

I’ve always equated a guys texting habits with how much he likes me or thinks about me. I recently started dating a guy and we’ve hung out 2 times. The chemistry is awesome, he is very attentive and sweet, we laugh a lot and the hours seem to fly by whenever we are together. He had me meet his friends. Things seem like they could really go somewhere. The only problem is that he doesn’t pay a whole lot of attention to me when we arnt together. He will always text back when I text him, and he’s not short over text, but he doesn’t really initiate the conversation or will just end it randomly by not texting me back. He does text first sometimes but I feel like he’d initiate conversation more if he were interested in me. I fear rejection and I can feel myself pulling away due to his lack of communication. Am I nuts?

If you're letting that bother you into ending what you have, and it turns out he was actually into you. You only have yourself to blame

If it seems like he's putting in effort when you're around him and he's not just using you for sex. Then you may just have to get use to it

Not every guy is a big texted. Just like how some guys are better at being romantic and all that over bullshit and say what you want in text

My opinion is that you're way way way overthinking this. My advice would be to not walk away or sabotage something that sounds so promising over something so trivial.

Yes you are nuts. You are going to torpedo a relationship with a guy you a great time with IN PERSON. But because he doesn't text you think he isn't interested? If he wasn't interested he wouldn't have fun with you face to face. Is texting that important to you? 🙄
