Can guys be interested even if they don’t text you?

A guy I’m seeing is not a great texter, and he’s admitted to that. I’ve gone out on 3 dates with him (all initiated by him). During this time, he barely texted either except to plan the dates. He left for a trip and we didn’t talk for a few days. I texted him when he got back asking if I could see him this week. He said that would be great and we can definitely work something out. I responded and asked him what day works best.
He didn’t respond until the next day (after I sent him a Snapchat). He said that either tomorrow or the day after would work best as he has some things to do tonight for work.
I feel like I might be reading into things a little, and thinking that he might actually not like me because he isn’t texting me? I guess I’m just used to guys that like me actually texting me. Would he agree to a 4th date if he just felt bad or didn’t actually want to see me?

Well you could try alternate ways of communication first! Maybe he's a shit texter but he would be a lot more receptive to phone calls or FaceTime/zoom/Skype. But yeah some people aren't all in on the constant communication, maybe he needs a lot of alone time to recharge, maybe he's just not super extroverted and doesn't feel like talking a lot. Maybe he just expresses himself differently and we could figure out what that is and do that instead! For example, I'm kinda shit at texting cuz I never know what to talk about but I send memes to people I care about like hey this made me laugh so look at it! Thinking of youuuuu

Really? I was planning to talk to him about it when I see him in person. I thought maybe we just had differing communication styles. He only texts when there is something to text about

Now read the first part again "He didn’t respond until the next day". If he was really interested he'd make a concrete plan right there and then (and if he couldn't text he'd call make sure). On top of that, we he did finally respond, he was again vague about it with "either tomorrow or day after", which makes me think that he is seeing you only when it's convenient for him, and is being super lazy (uninterested) about it all. Honestly, would you wait a whole day to respond to someone you're interested in asking to see you? I think not. You can talk to him about it, but if it was me I'd just move on, I don't have time nor energy to waste on someone who is so and so into me, I'd want a man who is crazy about me. And I think you want that too.
