Guy flirts in real life, but doesn't text me - is he interested or not?

There's a guy I really like, have known each other for 3 months.

We live in different cities, but have hung out a few times. In the beginning, he texted me often and from time to time. He seemed interested so I asked him out and we had a pretty amazing date.

There were clear signals that he likes me and he was acting very flirty, bought me drinks, etc.

Soon after that, we stopped texting. We see each other maybe once a month and hang out, during which he still pays a lot of attention to me and gives me signals - kissed me on the cheek, touches my waist, makes plans to hang out again in the future.

All of that is great, but he rarely texts me. I wouldn't get too upset about that, but a friend of mine says he messages her on Facebook very often. She's the reason we met in the first place and says there are absolutely no signs of him flirting with her.

So my questions is, why is he not texting ME when we have a thing, but obviously has the time to chat with other people/girls. Does he like me or not?

Many people are hesitant to talk and have conversation over telephone or messages. It happens.
Can you tell me a thing, is it better and beautiful to be all smooth shaved everywhere neck to toe rather than being very hairy man?

Maybe he is too scared too and wants you to make the first move? Do you message him?

I've shown him obvious interest and he definitely doesn't look scared (kind of confident and flirty in real life). I'm the one who asked him out first so I see it that the ball is in his court :?

Have you messaged him first to start talking? Maybe he is afraid he scares you off?
