For the most part, people who focus on social connections are often disappointed. They are likely to focus on their own sense of entitlement rather than be truly considerate of others. As long as people feel they are owed something, whatever they get will never satisfy them. They'll tend to continue to seek more.

Rather than look for a relationship, look for a connection with a cause or interest of yours. Do volunteer work or be an active participant in a club or organization. Take on a responsible role, and let people see you in action rather than judge you only on your appearance. People drawn to you then will be more likely to see you as a whole rather than just body parts.

When people show interest, take time to get to truly know them. Find out their thoughts and feelings in all areas, minimizing surprises in the future. Seek clarification of whatever they might share, so you don't make assumptions and just see what you want to see. Ask for examples or how that might impact them, their goals and others impacted. Never accept a vague/general response or statement without gaining an understanding.

Relationships aren't impossible... they're just very rare. For the most part, people tend to be too self-serving to be healthy partners. Look at your expectations and what you bring to the relationship rather than focus most of your attention on what others should be doing or providing.

I think it´s possible but there is a rarely happening because people aren´t patient enough or have too high visual expectations on one another. If you expect a 10/10 a person that you fall in love the moment you see them you´re not good going to be happy.
Let´s face it especially us the younger generations bombarded with tons of pics on social media with good looking people than our friends are in relationships with so we want that, too.
But the problem is a relationship takes time to build up and that´s something most of us don´t have.
Take many dating apps one spends minutes at best reading and looking through a dating profile before saying yes/no and then break the chance of for a person from the other sex to match you.
But that´s not how dating should work. We´re conditioned to get things that actually need settled quickly. If a conservation turns boring either the man or woman leaves.
If a person doesn´t look good enough there will be no match.
We live in a day and age where it should be settled if you love a person after 4 or 5 dates/meetings but that´s often not enough.
I think relationships will become more and more rarely because men and women loose the connection to one another and turn for hookups and friends with benefits instead.

Your generation has it so much harder than any other. This virtual everything including relationships has taken the mystery of love out of the equation. People live glued to a silly little devise they hold in their hand and respond directly to anything that crosses over the screen.

The world around them has become make believe and they behave just like that. Your feelings no longer manner to them, only the next great post on the internet. I look forward to the day all of our phones are shut down for at least a week and then we have to reconnect with people who are living real lives, are trying to be the next Kardashian.

Possible but very rare.
Having sex casually, picking someone up and ditching them on smallest things, lack of understanding and unwillingness to connect on emotional levels is to be thanked for that.

People are more focused on getting it more easily, focus only on looking good and not keeping a check on their personality and mentality which makes them even more boring and at times, shallow.

It largely depends on how the society and trends are at the place where you live.

A real relationship is hard to find because not many people have the qualities required for a real relationship (like unselfishness, loyalty, fidelity, honesty, modesty, and self-control) and those qualities are not popular. It is part of the reason I myself have never been in a relationship.

I want to find a real lasting relationship too, but it is difficult to find a good person that has compatible morals, compatible long term life goals, has some interests in common to do together, and has an acceptable past.

It can seem frustrating but trust me you don't want to move too fast with someone you are unsure about. I think its best to wait until you find someone you're interested in and you're sure about them.
