It has been nearly a decade since our split. Am I overthinking distant ex actions/words?

We recently met up & it resulted in an overnight stay. Since we both are single, not seeking attachments, & an hour away from each other; we agreed to a casual relationship. ---The thing is, K repeatedly said during sex he missed (you know).

While I admit we occasionally checked on each other over the years, at the time of my last relationship, we were not friends on social media. Once, I had missed K's call in the middle of the night. I inquired the following morning what it was regarding, & his response was to "apologize for calling because he was drunk, got into his feelings, etc & to forget about it."

I didn't press it as I didn't care, because of my then relationship with W. At one point, I swiftly blocked K after he made derogatory remarks about W that were without provocation.

My question, I wonder, if there is more there than K leads on?

SN: A year later, post breakup with W, I unblocked K & we continued occasional correspondence to the present.
