Is there a reason him constantly saying I love you now?

hey y’all. So recently I saw a video of my S/O saying all these things about having a side. I broke it off with him but decided to work things out. We’ve been together for 4 years and have children. Recently engaged last year. He used to just say I love you when he’s off to work, went to the store, anniversary/birthday etc. But after this he’s constantly saying it every 5 minutes now. Is there a reason for this I feel a little suspicious.
