Why does he keep asking if I love him?

Long story, short of been casually, seeing a guy for two months short of five years. The last few times I’ve been at his house. He looks at me and smiles and asks “you love me don’t you”. it makes me feel really awkward. I don’t know why but he’s never done it before he just recently started doing it and it’s weird to me.

He may just want to know you care about it him. It may not even be about love, but saying I love you is a sure way to know someone cares and maybe that’s what he wants you to do. I’m not saying say I love you to him if you don’t feel it I’m just saying make sure he knows you care for him if you care for him and maybe he won’t ask anymore.
