Why does my Boyfriend keep asking if and why I love him?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 11 months. Recently he has been asking if I love him almost every night. We don't live together and he works late hours everyday and I work everyday, but I still make time to see him and show him my love. In the past I had my doubts that he loved me but now the roles have reversed.
I never compare my relationship now to my past relationships, but from my experiences when a guy would ask that question it made me doubt our relationship. Come to find out they were unfaithful or just lost feelings.
Is he losing feelings and trying to get them back? Do I just keep telling him the truth?

My guess is that you're an attractive young girl. Very attractive. He might think you could do a lot better and is feeling insecure thinking you might leave when you find someone better

Only he knows. It's perfectly legit to ask him why he's asking. It's worrisome though that it's repetitive.

He sounds insecure. Maybe he wants you to compliment a specific attribute that you’ve not thought to compliment him on before.
