Which is better polygamy or monogamy?

How do you feel about a polygamy? Would you consider a polyamorous relationship and why or why not?

Obviously those into monogamy will say that's better (me included)
Those into polyamorous will say that's better..
Either way, what's better is to be upfront and honest from the get go and stick to like minded people instead of trying to sway people into being something they're not, because that won't work long term...

"Dating" in my opinion is polygamy first off... I just think too many dudes are too quick to allow a chick to cut off his options. But allow me to go past that, and assume they all take the formal route, get wrapped up in a relationshit, and then they get stuck with those two choices. Both are shit. Polygamy is just wanting to be single and dating again TBH, and clamped down in monogamy is just your options for sex are restricted while she's probably still shopping for options and if she finds the right one, will turn you out and take you for all she can get and bounce to that guy.

Polygamy is not for me but I can see how it happens or works for some people.
my girlfriend and I are monogamous, except for enjoying threesomes on occasion. We have a third that we love, but it doesn’t go beyond friendship, or our relationship in bed together.

Let's say... it's three people...
Person A says Person B is their favorite
Person C says person B is their favorite
But person B likes person A...
So you are now third-wheeling in your own relationship XD

Even if it's an even number... what if one person is more popular among the participants and one of them ends up feeling completely neglected? I don't know how that'll ever end lol.

The stats don't lie. Monogamy has a much larger chance for long term success and imho is better to sire children in. In polyamory as time goes by most don't last. And while the stats for success on a first try with monogamy is currently only 53% in the west, that is not the case worldwide.

We have an open relationship but she doesn't get to date anyone else except girls i start dating first. There are no other men involved. I date other girls and if it goes well i bring them home for the girls to get to know each other. This works really well and I've been doing it this way for years.

Monogamy rewards the inherent selfishness of an organism, polyamory and other poly relationships can offer an alternative. I prefer monogamy and am open to other relationships styles. Polyandry for one wasn't too bad

I don't think either of those work well. I think ethical non-monogamy is best. People will argue all day long that non-monogamy is wrong, but they don't seem to mind cheating. I find it so strange.
