Is it hypocritical for men to say women look for rich men while men themselves look for beautiful women?

Though men may have physical preferences, they usually don't go after "Beautiful" women. Everyone deserves to be desired by their partner, so you wouldn't want someone to be your partner if that person had to fantasize about other women in order to be intimate with you. Women are more likely to seek out extremes than guys. Guys often see "Beautiful" women as too high maintenance. If they are going to buy them, they'll want their money's worth. Relationships that are more in the center, rather than at extremes, tend to be more stable over time.

There are a wide variety of qualities men are drawn to... from one extreme to the other, and a whole lot in the middle. There's not a whole lot of variety when it comes to rich. Many guys feel they will never be rich enough to attract a quality (not necessarily beautiful) woman. On the other hand, guys who are drawn to physical qualities that aren't promoted by society often only find insecure women who feel they don't measure up. Not everyone is turned on by Barbie Dolls. Let guys enjoy you as you are rather than attempt to be something you're not.

I would say not, as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so a subjective trait, while wealth is objective, you either have wealth or you don't, and there are far more in the have nots than the haves in that regard. Plus those that have money are not always the better people, many good personality traits are in direct opposition to those that make it easy to be financially rewarded, such as empathy, selflessness and kindness.

So while a good but poor man will never find a woman if they're only looking for a rich man, any woman has the potential to find a man who finds them beautiful.

Some people find it easier to maintain attractiveness and some people find it easier to make money...

If your partner is making up for what you are lacking while you are providing them with something they are lacking that is okay.

Also if you are having trouble getting laid it has nothing to do with people being picky, it has to do with you approaching the wrong type of people... Go approach someone who actually appreciates your company.

It's just stupid because guys can decide what they want to be used for in relationships.
If you make yourself hot, she's gonna value your looks and body.
If you make yourself rich, she's gonna value your money.
If you make yourself her personal babysitter and assistant, she's gonna value you as her little helper while she's out doing who knows what.
If you make yourself her constant emotional support, she's gonna use you for free therapy and to dump her problems on you like an emotional sponge.
If you fix stuff, guess who's gonna be her free mechanic, carpenter, landscaper from now on.
All guys have to do is decide what they want to be used for by women and become that.

There's a big difference between beautiful and rich!
If I'm rich today and get a girlfriend because of it and then I suddenly become very poor the next day, she'll be off like a shot to find another guy with a loaded wallet!
If I find a girl today that's beautiful, I've POSSIBLY got another 40 or 50 years before she stops being so beautiful! IF she ever stops at all!! And, I'm not likely to leave someone just based on that.

I wouldn't say hypocritical but it's strange because subjective beauty is a natural indicator of unique attractiveness where money doesn't always need a specific person. I always see it as men are blind to her surroundings because he is focused on loving the woman, but women don't love the man because they mostly pay attention to what they possess which makes men more exchangeable

Not at all, and here's why. Men are very open and honest about the fact that they prefer beautiful women, but women lie about wanting a rich man. We all know for a fact that both are true, but women are just dishonest about their half of that equation.

Nope. If an ugly man looked for a pretty girl, that would be hypocritical.  A woman looking for a wealthy man is hypocritical if she is not wealthy herself.
