Is it common to be with someone you don't love?

Anonymous
Out of fear of my ID being discovered, I'm writing anonymous. I enjoy his company, love his qualities, I have all I ever wanted (what more can I ask for.. nothing else) and would never cheat on him but here is the deal... it's been 4 years and I don't really love him. I still have hopes that one day I'll come to loving him.

Everyone is happy for me, even his family. Everyone but me. I'm ok with it though. I'm getting used to it. Like mention, I believe I'll get to really love him romantically one day.

The only person that knows my secret is a local priest I've admitted it. I'm not too religious (I told him that too) but I always knew they are obligated to never reveal it, even if you're in the wrong. Is this common? That after a certain age, you got less option and just get what you can, even if you're not in love with them?
