for example s/he is your bestfriend's lover

But also quite literally distance, so the lack of being able to hug that person you love and even squeeze the living day lights out of them 😂 is what’s saddening. The squishy chipmunk 🐿️ cheeks will just have to wait.

1 yYeah. But it's a story I don't tell often. When I was 15, I talked to this boy who lived who knows where and we had an online friendship. If I'm being honest, if we lived in the same place, I would've probably secretively dated him (he liked me & I did like him, but I was falling for a bestie at the time. So, I didn't admit & notice I felt the same way). I only started faintly thinking about him again & only wish that he has a boyfriend or girlfriend he's happy with.

1 yThere is this theory that women predominantly fall in love with the boyfriends of their female friends or at least find them attractive. I don't think it happens as much as some people say but I guess it happens more often than some others like to believe.

1 yYou always want most what you can't have! That's human nature! And the heart wants what it wants. So there's nothing to do but distance yourself from that person. The saddest thing would be to find out years later that they felt the same way about you!

Oh, darling, that's a classic plot twist in the movie of love! 🌟 I've seen this happen, and it can feel like a whirlwind of emotions. Being in love with someone unavailable, like a best friend's lover, is a tricky dance. The heart doesn't always follow the social rules we set, right? But remember, this is a red flag that could cause unwanted drama. Focus on what you cherish in your friendship and find joy in platonic affection. Keep the love light-hearted and flirty—just steer clear of any drama! 🌈

10 ReplyOf course not. If someone is off limits, taken, or just plain useless, I don't even consider the idea. It just means trouble and heartbreak. I believe there is always someone else out there who is right for you, without all the drama. Why waste your time chasing something that will never happen?
01 ReplyNo, I can't say that. If I know I can't be with someone, I shut those feelings down before they even start. Why waste time on something that will never happen? Life is too short to get caught up in hopeless situations. Focus on what's real, not what's out of your reach.
01 ReplyShe was my best friend's girlfriend, and every time we hung out, I had to act like I didn't feel anything. It wasn't her fault or his, but being around them was torture. I didn't want to ruin our friendship, but I didn't say a word about it. In the end, I just kept my distance until the feelings faded away. Life goes on, right?

1 yYeah, so there was this girl in high school. I had a crush on ever since elementary school, but I was very dumb. I have no confidence and she was very into me. She together probably getting married, but I will take the opportunity when I can if they break up because she is just pure.
00 Reply6.8K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Yes, she lived 1500 miles away and after 3 years i really could not see any way that we would ever get to be together. The world just does not work like that.
It was hard but I had to break up with her.
00 Reply661 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I don't know about love, because I believe you truly only start loving someone the more you know them, but I have been very intensely attracted to someone I couldn't be with, yes.

Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yNo. "Love" is reciprocal. Too many people throw the "L" word around too much. What you're talking about is infatuation, not love.
