Yeah. Those times when the chemistry is very strong and you’d be very compatible, but one or both of you are already in a relationship? Just needed to accept that we can’t be together and move on.

I’ve learned to let go of the concept of the “ONE” because the way I see things now are there is definitely more than one person in the world that you could have an amazing relationship with.

Many times in my life as a younger man I “thought” I was in love with women , even besotted and infatuated , feeling destined to be with them almost… never stalker territory though let’s be clear. It’s even progressed to be actual ‘unrequited love’ and let me tell you there is no pain as bitter sweet as that. Sometimes just knowing that it can’t ‘be’ adds fuel to the fire


Getting past it? , well I’d say you have to sit with the hurt for a while , and truly begin to accept that it can’t be then distance yourself from that person as much as possible. Reinvest in yourself , Not other people or targets for your affections , but certainly to squeeze any joy from any other part of life … and through time that hurt and emotional void you feel disappears.
