Upon her invitation, I visited recently. I noticed she was jittery and kept looking at the time. She was the one who invited me but she wanted me gone before 4:00pm when he would return. And she kept making sure the house was neat. I had heard rumors of her situation from mutual friends but confirmed it that day.
When I confronted her she said he don't like visitors around. He would beat her if he finds me there. I should please, leave. I told her to get help but she said, no need. He provides everything and he only beats her when she does something wrong. I had to leave and instead of feeling pity for her, I feel angry and irritated.
Does anyone else feel this way about people who won't leave such relationships?
