No, not necessarily, but a child needs at least one physically and mentally healthy primary caregiver.

Personally, I would not have a child out of wedlock. Even if my partner and I split, I'd expect him to step up and be a good father to our kids. My parents have an unhealthy relationship. Growing up in this toxic environment was awful. Thankfully, I spent most of my childhood with my grandparents. They were good parents to my brother and I, though I just wish they were around often. They were almost always busy with work. A father also plays an important role in a child's development. I want to raise my children with both of us still in the picture and provide them an emotionally and a financially safe and secure childhood.

Marriage isn't, but a relationship is.

I'm not sure I want kids, but if I do end up with kids, it would be because I found a man I wanted to have kids with and because I wanted us to raise them together.
I don't want to be a mother just to be a mother, I want to be a mother because I found someone I want to parent together with, someone where we can support each other and be a team, depending on one another and such.

Being a single mother is one of my fears... well and to be with a man where I have to pick up all his socks from the floor and such. I don't want to be the traditional spouse who does all the housework and such.

Of course... because a child should have good role models from both genders & the best way to have that is traditional marriage between people who bothered to pick the best spouses. Ancient peoples understood this & they built civilization. Now we have people who can't even build an ikea dresser telling us what's best.

No marriage, no child in my case, and if for some reason the protection fails, pregnancy means I'm supposed to marry her. I'll make it work even if she's crazy. It's my job now.

Nah even tho I did have my kids while in a relationship/married it wasn't something I specifically planned for. If I wasn't I still would have had them and raised them on my own

Children are the only reason that a man should get married and deal with all the risks associated with it. If you have a child with someone and continuing the relationship then you may become common law husband and wife.

A marriage/relationship is only needed if you want to create a family unit, but even that isn't foolproof because abuse, mental disorders, etc

To conceive and birth a child, no; you don't need a relationship/marriage for that.

I mean you don't have to be married to have a kid, and I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who chose to have a child all by themselves
