What do you expect your partner to do in order to keep you in a relationship?

When it comes to physical appearance, how he grooms and how he dresses I usually don’t bother to tell him to change as I don’t want to pressure him to please me and I hope he will not pressure me either. If he does it’s over, to me it’s about accepting a partner’s style and flaws too.

Well, I have 3 things that I'd expect from my what-if/would be wife:

Control
(... over me, in any shape or form. Which is exacerbated 'cause of my narcissistic mom)

Expecting me to "predict" the what-if/would-be's (emotional) needs
(As "deep" emotions are something that I struggle to understand)

Overly emotional/sensitive
(makes me feel indirectly/subtly controlled. Meaning that "by default", that I have to cater to her needs, more than mine/and less in return.)

For example, the "bad" (and in this case, exagerated, to make the examples more clear) kind of emotional/sensitive girlfriend would be:
Someone who have a tendency to jump to conclusions about... well, pretty much anything. Such as that when I see a chance to (playfully) "assert dominance", she'd claim that I'm being a perv. or anything else that makes me feel/look selfish.
OR, more "commonly", just talking to another girl is enough to make the "example girl" seem "confident" that I'm cheating on her. and wouldn't care when either of us try to convince her that it was a misunderstanding.

Or that if/when I make her upset at any point, even minor/superficial stuff would/could "hit her hard".

Well may be not a lot but I definitely expect it to be a two way street. Ultimately helping each other to become the best versions of themselves with a lot of emotional affection and physical pleasure. If you think it's a lot to ask, you aren't my type.

I wouldn't say that I expect a lot, but my last two relationships have shown me that my expectations are in fact higher than what a lot of men (I don't know about ladies, yet) can easily do.

So I guess, for men (for now), I expect a good amount of work to go in. I don't consider it a lot of work, but I want to try thinking of it as a lot and see if I can partner with better people than before.

I expect them to be considerate of me, to think of me and act on those with occasional things like sending funny gifs or pics, to live their own life, to own their own power, and to be able to be productive on their own.

I need them to be as independent and capable as I am, if not more so. I expect them to be their own person and have their shit together. I expect them to learn and grow, as I learn and grow - not in the same way, but in a similar enough pace that we don't outgrow the other.

I won't ask that they slow down for me, but they have to be happy with my rate of progress, too.

If you want me to bother somebody else than you shouldn't have offered to be my boyfriend and I'm not saying you're cheating on me, I'm saying he thought having a girlfriend is fun only when he feels like it, big n-o.

I think that would expect somebody to take an interest in her health and general appearance. I don't care so much about gaining a few pounds or getting a few gray hairs but to totally disregard her health by either gaining a great amount of weight inviting diabetes or high blood pressure or else engage in behaviors like smoking or illegal drugs would be a big problem to me.
