How to stop liking a friend?

Okay so there’s this guy that I’ve been friends with for about 6 months. When we first started talking, he liked me, he would flirt openly and etc. but He realized for a certain reason, it wasn’t right for him to continue to flirt with me. I won't lie, I didn’t like him how he liked me at first, cause im not the type that likes someone quickly, i got to get to know you first. With that being said, like a month ago, I realized i liked him and over time its just getting stronger and stronger up into the point of burdening me with how to handle this! I know he still likes me on some level cause it shows but he doesn’t act on it like he use to. I wanna be his friend, i dont wanna cut him off or anything… i know that would sadden him sigh 🙁. i feel like if i express myself to him it might make things ackward between us… so yeah, im fustrated. I've tried creating some space, but it doesn't help, it just makes me wanna be around him more! its eating at me!! any advice?

Yess I completely agree! Cause I truthfully don’t see us benefiting from it either way. Its just an unnecessary burden but crushes comes and goes and we definitely will find someone who we can crush on and actually be able to take it to the next level

To be honest I handled the situation similarly. I used to take initiative in texting him first but now I stopped, and I know that if I don't text he won't text first. However in real life when I see him I talk to him just fine like nothing is going on

Lmaooo omg girl no way!! Thats EXACTLY how it is with me! If I don’t tezt him first, he won't text, but if i do text him, he’ll reply pretty fast. And just like you, I stopped texting first. But its like when we together in person, everything just fine😂. Whew.

I think that the best thing for us to do is just focus on other important aspects of our life and just move on from that guy. I think we both want something that the other person can't or won't give us so the best thing is to maintain our relationship with them typical and eventually we will find someone else who deserves us
