How do you treat them? I have a brother-in-law who grew up in the London suburbs and he is the most arrogant and egotistical son of a bitch I have ever met. He is also quite a racist. He doesn't get a warm reception by my family but not because of his national origin. Most of my ancestors immigrated from what is now the UK and we don't think badly of the UK in general.

Jealousy within extended family is quite common. I usually ignore my toxic relatives and keep the conversation crisp and short. Don’t feel bad about yourself. They are just projecting their own insecurities onto you.
