How do I tell the difference between lust, a crush and love, for somebody?

Lust- if you rarely saw them and find their body, not their personality attractive.
Crush- often used when either you have pure lust or like them as a person, not always specific.

They are all different forms of love.

But you probably are trying to avoid a relationship that won't last. Self respect and worth will help with that.

Time. It'll feel different as well and you'll get to recognize what feelings are which. But there's initial excitement when you meet someone new, for everyone, but that wears off. When it does, you'll know if there's still feelings there or not.
