Would you dare to take a lie detector test with a loved one asking the questions?

I would probably welcome it.
Some people make up stuff about me sometimes and I would love to have the opportunity to tell the truth, and have a lie detector there to show them that I'm an open book. I'm honest, and I'm the one to listen to.
Strap my ex into that polygraph machine and the damn thing would probably explode.
LOL...
I have the opposite problem. People make me out to be a lot better than I am. I have everything to hide.
@TrueConfection
Oh wow, you better stay away from the lie detector then, lol.
😈😈😈
Those contraptions only work on placeabo and are pseudoscience
Absolutely!!! I have some theory's on how to beat them and I would love to see if I'm right lol... and just a side note... there's a reason why ur results from a polygraph test aren't admissible in court all those mechines do is record ur heart rate and show when ur heart rate increases which is apparently a indecation of being decitful and lying but what if one of the questions ur asked makes uncomfortable or embarrass you most likely when you answer the question the test is going to read that ur not telling the truth even if you are. U don't need a fancy machine to be able to tell if someone is lieng all u need is a sethascope to listen to their heart beat if it gets faster there "lying"
Who is the loved one asking the questions? If it's my mom or dad nah I couldn't do it. With my husband sure wouldn't bother me
That would be fun and extremely enlightening.
The question she asked would help me see her unexposed fears. And I could help her see the truth.
BUT I would feel ashamed that she would not trust my words or ask such questions without needing a lie detector test to believe me.
Trust, openness, loyalty, vulnerability are all preciously important for a relationship's survival.

Oh so you want me to hurt my own feelings more than I already do? 🫠
Depends on the lie
Probably not worth the trouble that it would cause. Most people lie all the time about little things to make people feel better. I feel like some answer they don't really want to hear is going to come up.
Hypothetically speaking? Sure. I have nothing to hide. Even though I would consider it a red flag that it has to come to this. but for the sake of argument, someone who feels uncomfortable doing this, is most likely hiding something.
yes, and it would not be an issue... none of them would ever ask me to do it though, whenever they wanted honesty from, they always got exactly that.. truth
Same.
No, I don't see the point in doing something like that.
I would do it without hesitation. Then again, I am one of those people that if someone asks point blank, I won't lie... I will answer truthfully. To me to lie about something only makes it worse.
A lie detector is a tool used to leverage interrogation techniques. It isn’t a magic tool that identifies truth. Why would someone who loved me want to intimidate me with that machine?
Lie detector tests are actually not accurate at all, so I would not be comfortable with it unless my partner knew so too
They are only 88% accurate. So that means there is a 12% chance that it alerts incorrectly and damages your relationship for something you never did.
Incorrect they work on placeabo
I don’t lie. Either my loved ones accept me completely or their not important.
Yes I would find it fun. I do not see a point in lying, so it would be fun to see my results. 😁
Some people are human lie detectors. What a lot of folks don't understand is the eyes and eyebrows in a lot of cases give it away.
If it was done for amusement that’s one thing. But for serious questions that’s another. These things can be inaccurate.
That's the only one I would want asking the questions :)
I don't think it would be very accurate but sure lol
ONLY reciprocally--- I WILL if she WILL.
I AM who and what I am~
Nope. I'm such a bad liar and I'd rather keep some things to myself.
I'd give no shits. I don't try to hide that I'm a shitlord at all.
Sure, I would
I've got nothing to hide, and/or lie about.
Sure, why not? They might learn some things they didn't know before.
If they weren't trash then sure but as those stand today the machine would probably say I'm lying even if I was just buying a pizza of the phone
Polygraphs are not made for you to pass neither is a field sobriety test where if you were to be arrested you have the right to refuse any tests where it will be used against you
Lie detectors are bullshit. That's why they are not admissible in court. Too easy to fool once you know how.
I always hear those things not being all that accurate so no.
If it is a polygraph then it would not matter. I can fool a polygraph.
Polygraphs are not reliable, you can cheat them iasily if you know how they work...
One of my distant talents was as a polygraph examiner. I wouldn't suggest anyone take a polygraph with a significant others questions.
Absolutely. I’ll just fail the control question so that they’ll have to throw out the rest of the answers.
Lmao no lie detector needed im an open book and brutally honest. But sure if they really wanted to use one idc.
No. If there is trust there should be no reason to use the lie detector.
Yes, I'm not a deceitful person so I have nothing to hide.
loaded question - no correct answer.
having taken a polygraph, can tell you it's all about reactions.
Not really. I dont like being forced to answer questions about my past.
Ill tell when and if i feel comfortable doing so
I'll take a lie detector test, when republicans and politicians say they will, and ACTUALLY DO IT
I would, not sure how I’d do, but I like being honest
I should be the one asking the questions, since I won't completely trust her, in the first place.
Since theyre scientifically no better than flipping a coin, sure.
If you don’t dare to take it you don’t dare to be honest.
Okay, but they aren't like detectors but nervousness detectors.
lie detector test do not work
you can look into it
Yes, I do not have anything to hide.
As long as it wasn't a family member.
Sure I have nothing to hide.
Absolutely.. Not that she would ever need me to.
Polygraphs don't actually work that way but sure.
Yes. I have absolutely nothing to hide.
yes sure n happily coz i dont hide anything
@Sam_25 i believe fav of many hehe
Yup have no issue lol 😆
Yup I would, I never lie to my wife.
Absolutely.
Well I don't know about that 😬
No, polygraph tests are unreliable.
Gladly... as long as we both did it...
I'd take it, but lie detectors are easy to beat.
Yeah and especially people I hang out with.
With my loved one? Yesssss
Absolutely. I have nothing to hide from them
sure... they don't work
I would take it and would fail miserably
Nope! 😳
I'm faithful, but some things are better left unsaid.
