He's been working for me for about a year and we've been sleeping together/having a secret relationship for about 6 months. We felt a strong attraction not long after we started working together, but we resisted it because we knew it was a bad idea. But, to make a long story short, we both got tipsy at an office party and slept together. We've been having the affair ever since (we've tried quitting a couple of times, but the pull towards each other is too strong (especially sine we work so closely together)).
I realize there's a lot of bad that goes with this. If we were ever caught it could risk both of our jobs. It could potentially cause tension if other people think we're having an affair. (However, it really hasn't affected our professional effectiveness. If anything we've gotten better since it started). Also, he's 14 years younger
We've tried to stop a few times, but not long after we always get pulled back into the affair again. On a base level, from the beginning we've had mind blowing chemistry on a physically intimate level. We He's also got a smoking hot muscular body. However, our powerful draw for each other goes way beyond that. We get along extraordinarily well and love being around each other. We're constantly laughing. We feel safe around each other and feel comfortable opening up for one another. When we're together we don't even notice an age gap between us. Moreover, the physical and emotional intimacy/connection reenforce each other as to become way more powerful.
Ever since both my daughters left for college I've lived on my own. Before the affair started I was feeling super lonely and was getting really sad. Since the affair started I've stopped being lonely and become far more happy.
Should we stop the affair or should we keep going? What else should we do?
