What's your reason for being in a relationship?

I enjoy his companionship, his sense of humor, his ethics, values, his way of showing me love and life and his ambition to be better in everything he does are my top motives. And so far I’ve also come to realize that he understands me in ways I didn’t thought someone would. So because of that special connection I have with him is the reason I’m willing to be in a relationship.

i was only alone for a few hours my enire life and it was truly a dreadful experience i never wish to experience again. i have a twin brother so from conception until i was 24 i was never alone. one night my roomate was out of town and my girlfriend went home for the night. as soon as the screen door closed behind her i felt like i was standing in a long tunnel with nothing and the nothing kept getting further away. i freaked out and sat on a curb at my local Kmart with some homeless people until the sun came up and the world woke up with it. NEVER AGAIN.

I have never considered boyfriend/girlfriend and LTRs legitimate relationships. I think committing to such a relationship is rather empty so I never have.

But, I only had one at a time because I think sleeping around is nasty.

Anyway, one loser boyfriend I had came to me and said he was also dating other people as well as me. I figured I would leave him to go do that and excused myself from the roster. In my marriages, no, I have never been cheated on that I know of.

But when I do get in a relationship, it's because I like that person. Because I want to be with that person, spend my time with them, and want to build something with them.

I don't want to enter a relationship just to be in one. - I did that with my first boyfriend, was much more in love with the thought of a boyfriend than the actual guy.

Mostly because I like to have a companion to do things with. I like to go on days out to nice places, go on holidays, have a drinking buddy, someone to talk to, etc... it's nice to always have someone there when you need them.

And I know that you can do these things with friends, but I find that they're often too busy with their own lives and relationships. For me it's just preferable to find a person to have around you when you need them, and vice versa.

I feel happy mostly! Having my best friend with me all the time. She shows me and teach new things and i do the same. Economy! When we are two ✌️ we earn more and we save more, to Travel together, or to buy a house together, it's fun.
