Why do men cheat and lie?

I recently met a guy. Things were going well at first until he ghosted me out of nowhere. It turned out that he lied to me about everything in his life- his job, his relationship status and where he is currently residing. He told me he was going to working here for a year and was apparently the head of department in an American pharmaceutical company. But he was actually just a manager in his home country. At the time, he was also on holiday with his wife (who is a local) and was visiting family along with her. I also find it disturbing that they had a baby just last year.. and our first date was just 4 days after his wife's birthday. I am hurt and feeling all kinds of emotions. I just can't understand why would anyone do this to their loved ones

All women are narcissistic masochists. We hate it when things are going well, especially if they continue to go well for long periods of time. We know down deep that we are fucked-up and not worthy of anything that is truly good. So when things are going well in a relationship, we eventually sabotage it. We just can’t help ourselves in this regard. We could have the greatest, most handsome, most caring husband in the world—a one-of-a-kind man who makes all of our girlfriends jealous; we could have the greatest children in the world, who are beautiful, well-behaved and ambitious; we could have the most enviable career imaginable; we could have all of the money and prestige and the truly good things in life, and we could repeatedly tell ourselves over and over, and believe, on the surface, that we would never cheat on our husbands. But down deep we know that it’s a lie. Because one day, we could walk into a grocery store, and some bad boy with a big dick could whisper just the right combination of words in our ear, and the next thing you know, we’re at the Motel 6 getting it in the ass. Why do women choose men that lie? Women and men both lie, I'd say women are more likely too since men are physically stronger. Women need to then choose better men. Or, at the very least, leave the men who do cheat and lie. We see the old trope of girl sticking with abusive guy played out over and over again.

Men either cheat or they don't, it's a value we either have or don't have, and once a cheater always a cheater.
