STORY TIME ( what's the dumbest thing a partner has yelled at you for?

I wanna know what's the dumbest thing you have ever been yelled at by a partner.
Mine yelled ate for groceries.. lol I went shopping and got stuff for dinner. Spent 50$ and he was PISSED. told me to never go by myself again. And that I made poor decisions. But I didn't. Who's next.

Had a wife once, she was a real special type of someone. Was a big Grammer person, always correcting people... never admitted to being wrong about anything.

Well one day she called beer liquor.

So I made a piont of prefacing my argument by just telling her that she would never admit to being wrong about anything... and I am only choosing this piont to make piont... because most time I never say anything just avoid arguments... but never miss a chance to dump on me, and never say sorry or admit to being wrong... but beer is not liquor.

She said you know what I meant, I was like well your the grammer nazi so you miss used word. All you have to do is admit to being wrong or making the mistake and its over... no big deal..

Liquor is distilled, and beer is brewed... it matters and as a beer drinker I am offended... so you can admit to being wrong about the fact that beer is definitely not liquor no harm not foul. Be the bigger person here just to prove me wrong.

See at this piont a sane person would realize what I was doing and just say you're right my bad, just like every husband does every day with his "yes, dear." Nope not her, she called a condensending ass, jerk, ego maniac and mansplaining jerk... I just said to her you might be right about all that, but I started this by saying you'd never admit to being wrong, and you haven't and you won't. So do feel like the better person still... the tongue lashing continued and no she never admitted to being wrong about anything.

It was the stupidest argument of my life, and did just simple fact of making piont about stupidity.

Oh yeah, she's my ex wife... just wanted that out there.

I remember a big argument with a girl over the fact that Iwas watching a college football game on tv while she was busy with a friend. She claimed that I had earlier claimed to HATE college football, but I am actually a big college football fan and NEVER would have made such a statement. Anyway, it was a silly, dumbass thing to be the subject of an argument.

I'm sorry to hear that your partner yelled at you for getting groceries. $50 is very little compared to what my family spends on groceries each week. He was definitely out of line. As for me, the dumbest thing that I have been yelled at for in a relationship is suggesting to my boyfriend, who was failing his college classes in computer science, that he might think about changing to a different major. We were driving on the highway at the time, and he yelled at me and floored it to the point that I got scared he might hit someone and demanded he pull over. He pulled onto the shoulder of the road, and I was forced to apologize to get him to calm down enough to drive safely. We broke up not long after.

He was already having a bad day so I wanted to give him some space and told him “whenever you’re ready I hope you can share with me what’s been bothering you so I don’t feel left out in the dark” then he snapped at me saying that I don’t understand timing and now he feels pressured to open up when he’s not ready. So I didn’t respond and just left him alone to cool down - he’s clearly got some issues lol

A female friend thought I was gossiping about her. I went to a small school that was a gossip mill. There were rumors going around that she was an air head and a slut. She was mad at me since she thought, being close to her, I was spreading these rumors.

No one had to spread rumors she was dingy. Everyday who ever had a two minute conversation with her reached that conclusion on his own. I imagist might have been one or more of the guys she had slept with after binge drinking spreading the rumors she was a slut.

I was on night shift.
He called me at 1pm (so like 1am to me) and asked me to pick him up. But I'm like confused and shit when I just wake up.
So i asked him again where he was cause i couldn't understand and this mf yelled at me then hung up. Then of course I'm awake now and pissed, he doesn't pick up the phone when i try to call back and i have to get up to work in a couple hours.
He apologized like 1,000 times afterwards because he was drunk apparently with his stupid ass friends.
