Is it weird to have my ex boyfriend be my sperm donar?

he recently broke up with me on Monday and asked me for another chance the next day. i told him no because we just aren't right for eachother and I felt like he didn't care about me at times. I told him that I plan on being single forever because im tierd of people wasting my time and pretending to care about me. and I'm going to move out of town when my lease is over in a few months and find a sperm donar he offered to be my sperm donar is that weird? Should I just find someone else? When we was together we talked about having kids but he always changed his mind

Weird or not I would advice against it. No matter what sort of agreement you come to he would be the legal father of the child. He can sue for joint or sole custody, visitation and all that and he will likely get it. You can sue for childsupport and the child will inherit from him. There are no contracts you can make that will hold up in court, he’ll be the father, not donor, in the eyes of the law. Only way around this is going through a fertility clinic but even then it can create issues if he ends up seeing the child as his child as well, and you may have a struggle and drama, as well as lawsuits, to get him out of your lives. You should just go with a donor from a sperm bank. That way you’re guaranteed to not have to deal with any sort of bullshit because the laws are very clear when it comes to conceiving that way and the donor wouldn’t even know who you are or anything about you. The child could still find out who he is and contact him in the future if they want to - if you go with a non-anonymous donor from a sperm bank.

I think it's not weird, it's a bad idea. He would want to see the kid, but you two already can't stand each other.
You could try to make this relationship work, but it'll be probably hard after these breakups, but who knows.
