Was my frustration valid?

So I have been in a relationship for almost 5 months and everything is going well... So I am Dutch and we go anywhere we want to by bike. But one day I forgot to bring my bike with me because my boyfriend picked me up by car and dropped my off at work. After work I thought it would be nice to have a drink with a few friends but then I realised I didn't have my bike with me. The moment I realised I had't had my bike with me it was already 2am and to walk home it would have taken me 20 minutes. As a girl its very dangerous to walk alone around this time especially because the streets are quiet and it was dark. I called my boyfriend to ask him if it was okay to pick me up so I could sleep at his place and he simply said no and left me in a - in my opinion - very dangerous situation.. I tried to explain why I was so frustrated about it and he still doesn't understand what I was trying to say or he just didn't wanna understand my point. He gave me the feeling if my frustration about this situation wasn't valid... but I think it is right?
