I just started at this company, and the lady training me (she isn’t my manager), but whenever it’s lunch time she’ll be like “so let’s have a 30 minute lunch?” Even though my company’s policy is 1 hour lunch. She just assigns us 30 minutes. She’s done this several times. Also my hours are 8-6 and sometimes she’ll be training me through 7 or 7:15 with no regard to the fact it’s time to go home.
If company policy is a one hour lunch then you get the full 60 minutes. Most companies also specify that if you skip lunch or work through it, you are not paid for that additional hour of work. Lunch time is your time... take it.
You’re right. They have to follow those protocols unless they are going to pay you for that 1/2 hours everyday and that overtime…. I woukd say something BUT that’s just me.
