My boyfriend best friend has a crush on me?

My boyfriend & I have been together for about 5 months now. 4 months being a long distance relationship & continue to do so until he’s able to move back. Long story short, i’ve always hang out with guys, it’s my preference. I just prefer to hang out with guys than with girls because 1. there’s less drama & 2. We do fun stuff like paintball, go-kart etc. My boyfriend isn’t the jealous type & doesn’t mind me hanging out with guys. He hangs out with his homegirls along with other peeps all the time. We trust each other. However, today I ended up finding out that his best friend has a crush on me. He told me straight up while we were out drinking, just him & I. He said sorry for making things awkward. I felt weirded out because 1. it’s my boyfriend best friend & 2. i kinda came to him for advice since it’s my 1st time being in a relationship. Did he say he has a crush on me to test my loyalty to my boyfriend? Should I tell my boyfriend what happened? I need a guy opinion on this.. Please & thank you in advance.

Wow this brings flashbacks to my ex who had a guy friend that confessed to having feelings for her. They often hanged out in private away from the group of friends (I don't know if they were drinking). But one day she confessed to kissibg him on the lips in order to get him to "stop crying" (her words exactly). She didn't tell me he had a crush on her nor about anything else that they may or may not have done.
This was the second time she pulled this sort of stunt and not the last.

Do yourself a favor and TELL ypur boyfriend about this Romeo and see where you two go from there and if you love your boyfriend you will do whatever makes him comfortable (in this context).
Personally if I were you I would cut ties with this guy amd never speak or see him again.
But if you are sentimental to the friendship than you need to live by certain rules namely no drinking and no alone time with him like EVER.
All it takes is one miscommunication with your boyfriend (not a break-up) but a disagreement and one thing leads to another and before you know it you and Romeo are doing the nasty.
Betrayal is the second worst pain anyone can experience. (The first is kidney stones)
