Suggest NEVER complain.. Always suggesting what would make him look hot, sexy, sophisticated, cool or casual. This will make him want to wear those things. I've learned to ignore the bad and praise the good.. Eventually the behavior stops because they become hooked on praise.

Take him shopping and then when he picks stuff off say "try this size too, sometimes with this style tighter looks better!"
