Would you still be with someone that didn't work but still made money?

So I don't work at the moment because of my disability. I'm trying to get something online but I still have money coming in from my disability (military). So I'm trying to go back to school most likely online. My boyfriend cares about me having a job and making more. He makes more than me. I was looking at jobs that wouldn't aggravate my disabilities, some stuff I just can't do anymore. We argued about money in the past.

If you live within your means your boyfriend shouldn't be busting your chops over it. That said VA disability compensation is pretty low, so you likely depend on him to support you. That probably makes his life a lot harder and more stressful. He's still with you, but he's voicing his concerns about needing help to keep the ship afloat.

We don't live together at the moment. Still it's not a lot but I'm able to pay bills I need to pay.

Then that's no big deal. He should get off your back over that and understand that you're struggling and trying to work life out.

I don't know. I think it would depend on her overall situation. I mean I don't work anymore in the traditional sense (I've made enough in my working life to retire and now I invest in my spare time). If I needed to I would. I've actually considered it given the state of the economy as of late. 🤣
I guess what I'm saying is I'd be totally cool with it if I knew she was giving a solid effort. We can only do what we can do right. 🙂

My husband makes pretty much all of our money. He doesn't care, and just likes that I am home whenever he gets off work so we can hang out.

That's good, shouldn't matter about money. When we met I didn't work. I get some people want you to have more but I make more than a lot of people working regular jobs (not bragging)

Right. Whenever we first started dating we both expressed that we would want to live traditional lives if we got married, so it's never been a problem because we've always been on the same page.

Yeah I wouldn't mind either. I understand someone having their own but finances change and his has a lot. Sometimes for the worse but I still stayed.

Yeah j don't care about a women money and k only expect her to pay 25% of our future income.
