My longtime crush doesn't love me romantically but doesn't want me to leave. I get we have been friends for a really long time but i have no idea how to deal with this. Any advice on what to?

Well, in this situation it’s not about what she wants. If you feel like you need some space to get over your feelings for her, then you need to give yourself that and she needs to respect that decision, even if it’s hard for you both. Unfortunately this is a downside with guy/girl relationships. What starts as purely platonic almost always turns into someone catching feelings, and unsurprisingly, I mean you’re investing so much time With a person. If it hadn’t been you with the feelings it would’ve been her.

What's sad is we had a lot space before on multiple occasions but I can't get these feelings to go away. They literally come back everytime.

Maybe it should be more permanent then.. I’m sure that is the last thing you want, but the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If you’ve already tried giving each other space on multiple occasions, and this is always the result, then at some point you’ve got to make the hard decision dude. With those sort of feelings, it’s extremely difficult to be a proper friend without torturing yourself in the process. It’s hurtful to advise her and be a shoulder for talks about other men, or to see her get into a relationship and be expected to endure that dynamic change where she’s always with him now. I just think that’s the worst thing you could do for yourself.

Dump her like yesterday's garbage. She sounds like she loves you in the friendzone. She doesn't respect your feelings enough. If you want romance, just tell her and if she can't provide that then tell her that isn't enough and move on.
