My life at 20 didn’t turn out the way I wanted too?

I’m not sure if this sounds crazy. I’m 20 just turned. I imagined my life at 20 to be financially stable and have 2 children, but instead I’m working and at college for my nursing degree? Is this normal? I really thought I’d have children by now and a name and be happy with the money I have? Am I stupid for thinking that?

Lol... yes its normal. 99% of people are not financially secure with two kids by 30 or 40.

You got some unrealistic expectations for your self. Never a good thing to set unrealistic expectations for your self, leaves to disappointment and depression. If you think something is achievable for your self and it is possible with in the next 5 to 10 years then you're need to plan on it taking 12 to.15 years. You do it faster then you feel more accomplished and if you don't that's fine to.

But seriously you just got out of highschool 2 years ago, and expected to achieve something that it takes some people a life time to do. Get serious, please.

I do think you were a bit naive, but just wait a couple of years, that will happen you just misjudged when. If you're tidy in life and want to get on to it at around 24/25 you'll have most of that, if not probably around 27. That said, unless you have or you marry a man that has an amazing job, that can really provide, you probably won't be happy with the amount of money you have for a while

Nah, it's normal. I remember that I also wanted to have kids and a job by my age. Keep working on your degree so you'll be able to advance in that aspect of life, financial stability usually comes later in life anyways. Most get that stability by their 30s. You're still young enough to have children with ease, especially if you only want 2.

Yup. It's normal, but it's not stupid. I expected to be having a succuessful business and the boobs I want. But no. Not yet. You're already 20 now, doesn't mean that everything that you expect will happen right at that moment. Buut if you want those things, it will come to reality in time.

Your situation is extremely normal, don't beat yourself up. It's actually probably for the best that you don't have kids yet. If you get to my age and you still don't have a career or sense of direction in life, that's when you may want to start worrying a little bit.

20 with 2 kids is definitely not normal are not usually a good thing when it does happen (with rare exception). And you would have had to start college very young to be financially stable already with a nursing degree.

No, life is like that. I thought I'd be married with children and a nice home. I have none of that, working 6 days a week. Don't lose sight of what you want and dedicate yourself to it.

Nah what you thought you would have children and a stable job by 20? When highschool ends at 18? I mean that is just a really naive view. Especially in the medical field where school takes forever and is very taxing on your social life.

Two children and financially stable at 20 sounds wildly over ambitious. And most 20 year olds don't even want to think about children, and financial stability comes in a few years.
