Do smart vacuums provide convenience?

How would smart vacuums not provide convenience? I don't see how they can be bothersome or not convenient.
You just turn on one vacuum to suck all the dirt from the floor while you clean everything else as to not bother it and by the time you're done, the vacuum is also going to be full or done and you can wash the floors.
It saves so much time and it's like another person doing vacuum cleaning while you do the dishes.
It's like asking if having a laundry machine is convenient, which obviously it is.

My Riccard is 12 years old and that engine sucks up everything. If they have not changed they offer a great product. Consumer reports may be good idea?

My two robot vacuums save me a ton of time and trouble and do a fantastically Good job of keeping my carpets clean.

From what I've heard, they don't work very well (?). But I think that's the idea behind them.
