If a boyfriend continues talking bad about the same ex girlfriend, is this a red flag?

We've been dating for 5 months now and this is the 4th time he has talked garbage about the same ex girlfriend. He keeps saying she used to open her legs to everyone and how she never listened to him.

I've already stated how it's uncomfortable hearing about a past ex girlfriend and that he shouldn't be stuck on the past but he quickly responded with an ''But you should feel good I'm not talking good about her. I'm talking trash about her, nothing wrong with that''.

I'm still left wondering why would any man or woman continue talking bad about the same ex partner so much and over the same thing? Now I'm having a strange feeling that if we break up, he's going to talk bad about me to another woman too. Is this a red flag?

In my relationship, I focus on the present and leave the past where it should be, in the past and thrown in the garbage. I wouldn't have energy to continue talking bad about an ex boyfriend.

Yeah... any relationship should be like this... where past is forgotten and it is focused on the future...

Unfortunately some people are not able to handle breakups... I could agree to some extent that they can be harsh... but they aren't that bad that you can not let go of them... and by talking about them in front of your current girlfriend/boyfriend it is very well a sign of weakness, stress, depression and some regrets...
You should try to communicate with him... tell him it's wrong... what's the point of you being there if he is hung up on the past
