How do I know I'm in love?

Like I actually don't know how to handle this.
I like him, but I know he likes other girls more than me. We're like very close friends. He tells me about other girls he likes or stuff like that. But I think I'm friendzoned ;-; He told me about one of his (female) friends who fell for him and he sounded annoyed by her and I don't wanna risk it losing him. He really brightened up my life tho. There're also actions I just don't like/understand and make me overthink about my opinion about him.
Sometimes I think I just don't know enough about myself and how I feel about certain people.
