not everyone really finds "love" so easily. besides, physical conditions is also something people consider while dating or choosing their partner. "fat" is more related to the opposite of "fit". for some men bigger women can be more attractive than others; you can be described as wonderful, look pretty, attractive, sexy, big tits, have a wonderful clothing style etc. maybe you didn't come across such a men you find yourself attractive. a friend of mine who was very handsome was into 'big girls'. don't forget that back in the history, big women were seen as more healthy, stronger, more fertile etc.

Love isn't completely unlinked from visual attraction, specially sexually. Doesn't mean they're ugly, but it's unattractive.

Personally, I can see myself dating a more chubby person, but I'm also physically active and would like to bring that to activities I'd want to do with someone. I'd like her to change her ways and lose weight, for her health's sake as well. There are other things more important to a partner than her looks, but I'm certainly favouring the more attractive girl out out of two with similar personalities and the same treatment towards me, considering that both have no differentials.

It's not so difficult if you are realistic in your expectations. If you are fat and only looking for guys that aren't, that's not realistic. Start looking for guys in your league (other fat people). I'm kind of fat myself and it's not realistic for me to only want women who are fit, skinny, etc.

What baffles me is why would anyone even want to date as a fat person. How little self awareness people have. When I was fat it didn't even want to try. It was very obvious that first I need to get myself in shape before putting myself out there.

Open a magazine. Like it or not you're a human balance sheet. Everything about you is being weighed in measured when it comes to relationships. Looks, weight, occupation, social circles etc. Dating is investing in another person. If that person is fat or ugly it affects your value as a person. It would be nice to say we out grew this in Jr. High. But in reality society never really does.

Here's an example of non-fat people but similar behavior I've ran into... homosexuals lurking in the woman for man section of classified ads. I've called them out and asked why? the given answer, they don't find gays attractive. Kinda hard to wrap the brain around that one right?

I've seen the same when trying to play matchmaker when I was younger between fat people... one or both (usually the woman) refuse the idea of a fat partner.

It's unhealthy, less men will find you attractive therefore less men will engage with you at all. Many women gain a lot of weight after giving birth as well, if you are already overweight that could be a scary compounding.
