There's this boy in my class that i've known for 8yrs and me and him are bff's. He lives next to me and me and my siblings go over to his house a lot. Recently, i've noticed that everyone thinks me and him are dating. My sisters even tell me he seems like he has a crush on me and his friends do the same. He is very flirtacious and touches me innocently. He does stuff like kicking me just to get a reaction, teases me about liking him, or pushing me into my pool. But before school ended, there was this one skinny girl that he would tease also. (Not that i'm fat) But even thoughhe teases her, he still gives me more attention. He recently told me this summer that he was getting emails saying we should date but we both agreed we dont want our friendship ruined but he keeps giving hints that tell me otherwise. I need as much help as I can get. What do you guys think?

In my experience this as the guy. He likes you for both friendship but sees you as more. He likely feels a risk of losing the friendship and the embarrassment of a close friend reject him. The friendship will eventually likely be risked if has the courage to assert what he wants. I've made the waiting mistake myself and it is worse then the rejection feeling. If he's truly your friend and you reject him you should be able to remain friends, but there are definitely words that must be said between you 2.
