let’s say it wasn’t anything serious and just someone they dated for a month. They didn’t work out and decided to be friends. Do you think this something your partner should of told you?

I feel like the logical part of me is not mad, I could care less about someone he briefly dated like 8 years ago. But the jealous part of me wants to punch him, I don't know 💀

If I knew about it from the jump, I probably wouldn’t give a shit about it all. But it took 6 years for me to find out you and your little friend used to FUCK? Weird. Weiiiiiird. 😐

I would, this is why by the 12th date or so I spill everything I can recall of my past, and leave the rest open for questions, cause I literally won't remember it all and I don't want any 'future' awkward moments that could undermine or destroy all we've worked for, happening as a surprise.

I wouldn't care if he was still friends with her, I just don't want it to be a secret... I'd be more upset that it was a secret than the actual friendship.

I've made it a point to let my SO know that some of my friends are ex's or friends with benefits... and so forth and that I'm not doing anything with them.

I would be pretty upset about that. But Maybe he didn’t found it important. It wasn’t something he wanted to mention because he knew you would feel upset. I mean it’s been awhile. But be careful. Try to talk to him. It’s only natural you know. You shouldn’t be the only one to feel this way.

I think I would be worried. Not because of friendship, that’s ok, but for the reasons why partner decided to not tell me such thing… I think honesty and clear talk are a must, I know my weak points and I tell every person I trust about them, I expect others to do the same, so I don’t understand and why an eventual partner should be hiding things from me, I don’t accept it. I’m open and I don’t bite, so there’s no problem in having such friendship but I ask to talk me directly and openly. Not telling me makes me worried about the real trust basis in our relationship.

Hmm yeah it is a hard one.

with relationships, marriages etc there does need to be a level of openness between both, especially where things like this are involved.

I have some history with one of my friends, and it’s always been something I mention at some point, mainly as someone else will blab lol.

Yes, I would feel like they were hiding something from me and also just because they don't feel that way doesn't mean the other person doesn't. They might be trying to get something more to happen
