Which guy in this scenario should feel more depressed?

Guy #1 (Me) got to marry her, had her for many years, had a child together, but ended up separated and confused.

Guy #2 (New boyfriend) lives with her currently, wants to marry her, but she won't, and she still has my last name. He wants to have kids with her, she says no, but she begged me to breed her years ago and I did.

Not her, but like her I guess.

I don't know if this information is relevant, but I know she cheated on both of us.
I'm not someone who would stay like a cuck or something. Her latest boyfriend seems oblivious to what she's up to, or he's a total cuck who's willing to be cheated, and rejected for marriage, kids, etc.

Also, I had her all through out her 20's and most of her 30's when she was smokin hot and horny all the time.
He has her now at 42, when she's overweight and never home according to my son.

That’s hard. But, I think it would be more depressing for guy 1 because guy 1 lost her to another guy. He no longer has her. And, she’s alive so it wasn’t like she passed away, she moved on to someone else. That’s incredibly heartbreaking, especially after all that was built.


Guy 2’s situation sucks but, she’s still with him. They may not be married but, she chose him. As long as she stays with him, the future can still change. And guy 2 has the comfort of knowing that she is with him. Guy 2 can speak with her, spend time with her, and possibly change her mind with enough time. Guy 1 doesn’t have that luxury.


Then again, guy 1 has a lot of good memories. Something that guy 2 doesn’t have and might never have.


In terms of the pros for each guy, it’s fond memories vs possible future. Guy 1 has fond memories that nobody can take away. Guy 2 has the possibility of a brighter future, but it’s only a possibility because things currently look bleak.


After thinking about it like that, I’d say it is a tie actually. The tie breaker depends on the woman’s next decisions. Will she stay with the new guy? Will she return to her ex-husband? Will she ever change her mind? Will she leave them both?

She's currently cheating on guy#2 just like she did guy#1, so I'm thinking that she's wasting his time as well.

Ah, in that case, I think guy 1 has a better deal than guy 2. If she’s cheating on guy 2 already, I don’t think there’s a future for guy 2. Guy 2 is a just a spot-holding rebound relationship while she looks for someone better.
