Is it weird my girlfriend wants to go to her friends family reunion without me?

Your girlfriend's friends may not be your friends and therefore, it does not have to be strange at all.

It all depends on how well you get along with her friends or if you have any issues with some of them. She probably does not want to feel uneasy with her friend's family if she takes you along. Perhaps that her friend does not approve of you for whatever reason and then, it is safer and best to go to her friend's family reunion alone.

Also, the family may have only invited her and not you, in which case it makes perfectly sense that she goes alone.

I would say not really. No its not weird, its a family reunion so how many of these people do you know? How serious is your relationship? How long you been dating?

I ask these things because it might just be best to give her space on this one. Reunions have a way of bringing all the skeletons of the closets for some people. And its best to let, lying dogs lie. Showing up with a boyfriend chances the whole tone of the event for her, and she might just want to reconnect with old friends and talk about old times with out dredging up past history in front of you. Or she just wants to hang out with her friends and not feel like your stuck there with her.

If you love her and you trust her you would give her space, or you might come off as jealous type. Now if you were engage or married that would a little different. But if your just dating be supportive and let her go and have a good time.
